Hi! I recently found this, and have fallen in love with it! Your story-telling style, scores, subject matter, everything. Thank you for creating this wonderful podcast!

Just curious what that haunting piano score is? I looked up "Marriage" and it's not the same one, actually. No big deal, but a small oversight! I'd love to know the name of it, though, because it's strangely familiar to me...

My father is from Alfred, Maine, and I have heard the story of the elephant who was shot by a disgruntled farmer since I was a little girl. I nearly fell out of my chair when I listened to this episode! There is actually a memorial stone on the spot of the shooting in that tiny town, supposedly the elephant is buried underneath it. I can't believe that whole legend is actually true! And that it was Bailey's circus! I would love to know more about the story. Thanks for all your hard work, I love this show!

Fellow expatriot rhode islander, love your podcast. I just heard a lecture from WGBH about how elephants evolved in North America along with camels. Thought it was apropo to your great story. The link is here: http://forum-network.org/lecture/conservation-lessons-ice-age-extinctions

Just discovered your podcast today and have been methodically working through the episodes, all these moments of heartbreak.
