This is a very enjoyable story – but a number of things in it are in dispute, such as the claim that “no one could explain how they did it” at the time: it appears numerous experts suspected they were cracking their joints.

Also, there is doubt cast on the authenticity of the skeleton.

A very enjoyable story as usual. But I have a question, you said Margaret Fox made her confession in the theater at age 54, but towards the end you said the sisters both died “poor, not seeing 50”. Is this a mistake?
