Radio

Episodes of the memory palace air…

about once a week On 90.5 KUT in Austin, Texas on its show O’Dark 30.

frequently On 94.9 KUOW in Seattle on its 2:00 PM show, KUOW Presents.

often On Here and Now, a nationally syndicated public radio magazine show.

…as part of a shifting rotation, on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio Channel 136 as part of Remix Radio.  The folks at PRX.org pull together a string of great public radio stories and air them in a loop that changes regularly.  the memory palace is generally in the loop.

They’ve also aired on WABE in Atlanta, Georgia, 91.5 WBEZ in Chicago, in Marfa, Texas on 93.5 KRT, in Minneapolis on 90.3 KFAI, in Champaign/Urbana Illinois on 850 WILL, in Connecticut on 88.1 WESU, in Montana and Wyoming over Yellowstone Public Radio’s network, and on the national program, “Back Story with the History Guys.”

Think they should air on your local station?  Let the folks there know.  Shoot them an email or give them a call and let them know about the site.

For PRPDs (you know who you are)

I’d love to have these pieces on your air.  I think your listeners might too.  Contact me at nate@thememorypalace.us and we’ll figure out how to make that happen in a way that fits your budget and works well within your programming.

If  your station is a PRX member, episodes are posted at http://www.prx.org/series/31001-the-memory-palace

note that I’m in the process of creating a separate series at PRX that will feature new and existing stories in handy four-minute module form, perfect for a weekly Morning Edition or ATC drop-in.  Not a PRX member? No sweat.  Contact me at nate@thememorypalace.us and we’ll make sure you can audition pieces and get on board for weekly episodes. Or the occasional episode.  We’re flexible.
