  1. This was so beautiful. I live in the DC area and loved the image this put in my mind. Thank you.

  2. Ari Rogers says:

I loved this piece, thank you. What a wonderful conjuring.

  3. James says:

Another gem. It reminds me of a beautiful William Stafford poem:

At the Un-National Monument along the Canadian Border

This is the field where the battle did not happen,
where the unknown soldier did not die.
This is the field where grass joined hands,
    where no monument stands,
and the only heroic thing is the sky.

Birds fly here without any sound,
unfolding their wings across the open.
No people killed—or were killed—on this ground
hallowed by neglect and an air so tame
that people celebrate it by forgetting its name.

I know it best as put to music by John Gorka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kBgCeHqPIs0

  4. Tasha Le Mel says:

Just exquisite. Yet again, I’m left in a teary-eyed swoon by the beautiful imagery you’ve evoked…thank you!

  5. Scott Brazee says:

    Beautiful work as always
