There’s a soliloquy very early on a line of which I quoted to myself as I was walking along and listening to your lovely podcast: “Dead voices, lost sounds, forgotten noises, vibrations lockstepping into the abyss, and now too distant to be recaptured! …What sort of arrows would be able to transfix such birds?”
