Music, Footnotes & Ephemera

The music for the first is that band the Beatles, you should check them out some time. There’s also a Prince sample thrown in for comedy’s sake.

The song under the nun story is called “Swissex Lover” by Fight Bite.

Hahaha. This made me laugh. The idea of all of holland tripping balls together is hilarious. Let’s give everyone acid and see what happens!

You’re like Radio Lab for History Geeks! I love this. Hmmm…so what’s in the plastic that’s leaching into the bottled water we drink…and what’s that doing….

    That was great!

Love this podcast. I was wondering if you had any sources for the theory about Bosch tripping when he painted ‘Garden of Earthly Delights’?

  8. Liz says:

Oh my gosh… I heard this on Public Radio Remix when I temporarily had satellite radio over a year ago and all I could remember was the psychedelic sandwiches line, but I couldn’t for the life of me find the piece. Roman Mars linked to this podcast and I’ve been working my way through the archives, only to find this again. My life is now complete.

You have quite a mesmerizing voice and the content of your podcast was surely intriguing. Also as hilarious as the phantasmal Italian ladies were it truly confirmed that, no matter how bizarre one’s actions may be, a society can quickly conform to just about any ridiculousness setting a new norm…Keep up the wonderful podcasts!

Just an FYI that the Audible ad from this podcast and the couple before it have the same hiccup after you say “beautiful book”. Not sure how many words are dropped.
